Child safety standards

KnoBee is run by KnoBee Social India Private Limited. Last updated 7 October 2026.

KnoBee (Android package com.knoBee) has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). These standards apply to everyone who uses the KnoBee app and website.

What is not allowed

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind: photos, videos, drawings, AI-generated images, text or links.
  • Sexualising a minor in any way, including sexual comments about a child or about family photos of children.
  • Grooming: building a relationship with a child, or with someone who has access to a child, in order to abuse or exploit the child.
  • Sextortion, trafficking of children, or any attempt to buy, sell, request or arrange sexual content or contact involving a minor.
  • Sharing content or links that promote, glorify or give instructions for any of the above.
  • Creating a matrimony biodata for anyone below the legal age of marriage.

Children on KnoBee

Accounts are for people aged 18 and over. Children appear on KnoBee only as members of a family tree, added by their own relatives, and their photos and news are visible only inside that family's Hive. They are never on a public page. Accounts that we find belong to children are removed.

How to report

  • A post: open the menu on the post in the app and choose Report, then "Child safety". Reported posts are reviewed by our team and can be hidden or removed.
  • A person: open their profile and choose Report or Block.
  • Anything about child safety: email care@knobee.app. You do not need an account to report. Tell us what you saw and where (the person's name, the family page, the date of the post). Please do not download or forward the material itself.

What we do

  • We review child safety reports with priority.
  • We remove the content and permanently block the accounts involved.
  • We report child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the relevant authorities, including India's National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in), and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where it applies, and we cooperate with law enforcement.
  • We comply with applicable child safety laws, including India's Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Information Technology Act.

Child safety contact

Our designated point of contact for child safety, including for Google Play and law enforcement: care@knobee.app.
